Distance Markers
All measured to the front of the green
Bunkers
Stones in bunkers may be removed
Out of Bounds: ( See rule27)
All boundary fences or areas marked by WHITE stakes.
The 15th Fairway is out of bounds from the 17th Tee boxes.
Hazards: ( See Rule 24-2)
Yellow Stakes indicate water hazards.
Red stakes indicate lateral water hazards.
Environmental areas :
Staked with red stakes should be treated as lateral hazards.
Staked Trees (See Rule 24-2)
a) All paths and roadways whether artificially surfaced or not, are obstructions and relief may be obtained from such conditions as per above rule.
b) Bridges are obstructions and are not considered as part of the hazard. (Relief as per the above rule)
c) Irrigation points and fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions (See Rule 24-2)
d) Shade cloth and framework are immovable obstructions (See rule 25-1)
G.U.R.: (White Lines – Rule 25-1)
Only areas demarcated by white lines or white boards.
Ruts or grooves made by maintenance vehicles and construction equipment are considered to be G.U.R
