Bluff National Park Golf Club is an 18-hole Alan Barnard design championship golf course situated approximately 10 km outside the city of Durban on the Kwa Zulu Natal South Coast. Established in 1984 the course was constructed in the natural wetland area between the Bluff and the coast, a marriage that has ensured the preservation of this critical eco system. One of the key attractions of this picturesque course is the abundant bird life. In recognition of our responsibility to the environment as well as the long term satisfaction and safety of our guests, we are proud to prescribe to the Fairways Eco-Program which not only enhances our golf course but also limits maintenance and conserves the habitat of the fauna and flora which flourishes in the natural environment of the valley. The ultimate goal of the program is to provide a management tool that is properly designed and implemented and keeps the facility compliant with the ever changing environment rules and regulations. By officially staking our environmentally sensitive areas we are able to preserve the treasured links between the game of golf and nature.
We invite you to come and play on our challenging course, which is open seven days a week. Our normal club competitions are held weekly on a Wednesday and Saturday (Ladies competition also held on a Saturday) and members are always pleased to welcome SAGA handicapped visitors on these days. All it takes is a call to the Pro Shop and they will arrange a game for you with pleasure. (Phone 031467 7627)
Our early bird seniors (50 plus) hold a Competition every Tuesday morning and they also welcome visitors, simply arrive by 6.30 am and you will be accommodated in the draw.
Bluff National Park Golf Club is a perfect choice for corporate golf days, sponsored golf days and group bookings. We offer competitive standard rates but we welcome a call and a package deal may be negotiated to suit your specific requirements. Although the course is relatively flat and a most pleasant walk, there are 18 motorized golf carts available for hire from The Pro Shop and caddies are available at reasonable rates.
